DANDYANDY FITNESS

By Caitlin Marceau

Andriana stands in front of the large mirror, making sure to get the barbell and weight bench in the background with her. She turns her back to the mirror, angling her hips to show off her tiny waist and thick thighs like Bianca showed her during one of her live streams, before smiling as she snaps a few photos. When she's done, she checks the stills and frowns, deleting them all. With a sigh, she moves to the weight rack and painstakingly adds a plate to either side of the barbell before standing in front of the mirror again to take another round of photos.

"Do you think you could move out of the frame?" she asks, her eyes finding the older woman in the mirror.

"Miss, we're closing soon," the woman says, voice hoarse.

"Okay, well the faster you move out of the shot, the quicker I'll be able to go. I just need to grab a few more, 'kay?"

The older woman—Margie, according to her worn name tag—takes a few steps to the left. Andriana waves a dismissive hand at her, even though the woman is no longer in the photo, and Margie rolls her eyes before taking off in the direction of a gymgoer still running on one of the treadmills in the cardio section.

Andriana repeats the pose, snapping a new batch of photos before reviewing them with a smile. She then drops to a deep squat in front of the mirror, making sure to take a few shots of herself in the new peach GymDarling yoga shorts—the same ones Bianca's wearing in her profile photo—before getting to her feet.

"Miss, we're closing soon," Margie says again, slowly approaching Andriana as she looks at herself.

"God, I know. I heard you the first time. You don't need to hound me!" she snaps back at the woman.

As Margie walks off toward the front desk, Andriana heads back to her spot at the weight bench and leans against it, swiping through her recent batch of photos and placing a vintage filter on her favorite ones. She opens Instagram and sees a new post from Bianca.

BiancaDarling: There's nothing better than hitting the gym late at night. I know some people say the endorphins keep them awake, but when I can't sleep this is more than just my happy place; it's my lifeline.
